👋 Hello!
This is issue #50 of Taskflow Tuesday, where I share 3 things that can help you to get digitally organized so that you can spend more time on what truly matters.
📸 1. Organize Your Photos Without Losing Your Mind
Most people are drowning in photos.
You take 15 pictures to capture one moment, never delete the extras, and before long your camera roll is packed with screenshots, blurry shots, and things you meant to deal with “later”.
Here’s a simple system you could use to stay on top of it:
Use Slidebox (or just your default photos app) to do quick nightly cleanups - swipe and delete the junk.
Create a few intentional albums like “Best of 2024,” “Family,” or “Print These” to make things easier to find.
Let Google Photos handle automatic cloud backup and use its facial recognition and search features to your advantage.
Every 6 months move everything to a hard drive for long-term storage.
And if you want to actually enjoy your memories, print a few photos each month using Chatbooks or your local printer.
If nothing else, remember this line: “The key to remembering your life is deleting your photos.” (this linked video is great)
💬 2. Reader Productivity Tips
Last week, I used the Substack Chat feature (basically a group chat just for our newsletter community) to ask what productivity tips you swear by.
It’s been a fun way to connect with y’all - and if you haven’t jumped into a Chat yet, you’re always welcome!
Here are a few highlights y’all shared:
📱 Jacob uses the iPhone’s Focus Mode to limit which texts he even sees during the workday. It's a smart way to stay locked in without getting pulled into personal conversations.
🌲 Douglas uses the Forest app to stay focused during deep work blocks. (Small habit, big payoff.)
✍🏼 Cynthia recommends spending just five minutes organizing your day before diving into the work itself. A tiny investment that creates a smoother day overall.
Thanks again to everyone who responded!
I’ll keep asking questions like this inside the Chat so we can keep learning from each other.
✉️ 3. New “Manage Email” Feature
You can now manage your email subscriptions straight from the Gmail app!
Managing the ever growing list of email subscriptions often feels like a losing battle.
Thankfully Gmail is helping us out a bit.
On the app, click the menu button on the top left corner, scroll down and click Manage subscriptions.
From there, you’ll see the full list of the emails you’re subscribed to - and you can say goodbye forever with the click of a button.
⚠️ If you don’t see this yet, not to worry. New features often roll out to large batches of accounts at a time. Just keep checking periodically and you’ll see it soon.
Hopefully this means they will be rolling this out for desktop as well!
Want to work together?
👋 When you’re ready, here are 2 ways I can help you:
⚡️ Join The Taskflow Blueprint
A 4-week reset to help you build better habits, plan your ideal week, and create a system that works for your life.
If you book a discovery call, we’ll chat for 15 minutes, identify where you’re stuck, and I’ll give you 1–2 actionable takeaways you can implement right away.
That’s all for now! Have a great day. 👊🏼
David

Wasn't waiting being referenced here 😅
I loved the video, thank you for sharing! Do other people struggle to stay consistent with digital habits like deleting pics? I go through spurts where I’m on top of deleting pictures and then it falls off. Then I struggle to regain momentum. Rinse & repeat. 🫣
I look forward to your Tuesday email, it’s the weekly kick in the pants I need!
