👋 Hello!
This is issue #59 of Taskflow Tuesday, where I share 3 things that can help you to get digitally organized so that you can spend more time on what truly matters.
✍🏼 Today’s post is all about focused work. I share a plan to make it happen, a desk accessory to drive the plan forward, and a couple of supplemental additions to the whole machine. Let’s jump in.
💰 1. $100M Routine
I watched this video yesterday and actually got a lot out of it. This YouTuber recreates the productivity routine from business and marketing genius, Alex Hormozi.
Alex is undeniably a laser focused and hard working guy.
This video showed me the power of removing distractions, ignoring the noise, and being intense about deep uninterrupted work.
While challenges like this can be way too intense for everyday life, they are amazing for quickly learning and identifying areas for change. For example, this video inspired me to use my work timer, time block my day, and push through the initial pain of focused work.
I’d encourage you to 📺 watch the video, write down your ✍🏼 own productivity routine (I don’t recommend copying Hormozi’s 1 for 1 😂), and 🚀 get more done in a week than you ever have.
📦 2. Productivity Starter Kit
To help you in your productivity journey, I’d like to recommend this Productivity Starter Kit from MinimalDeskSetups.com
I use this on days where I have a lot to do and need my tasks written down and right in front of me.
It’s very helpful to be able to track my tasks and my time on the same card.
I found this thorough guide on how to use the system. You could try it out on a flash card to see if it works for you. You don’t need to buy this product to use the system, but it looks great on my desk so I’ll leave that up to you. 🤷🏼♂️
🧠 3. Binaural Beats and Focus Mints
Here are a couple of add-ons to take your productivity routine to the next level.
🎧 Binaural Beats are sound patterns created by playing two slightly different tones in each ear, which your brain blends into a rhythmic beat. Listening to certain beat frequencies can nudge your brain into a focused, alert state, making it easier to concentrate and stay in flow during deep work.
🌱 Neuro Mints are sugar-free mints with natural caffeine, L-theanine, and B-vitamins that deliver a smooth boost of energy without jitters. They help sharpen focus and sustain clear, calm attention, making them perfect for deep work sessions
⚡️ A quick reminder: No gadget or accessory will replace simply doing the work.
Now that I think of it, that was my biggest takeaway from the YouTube video I shared. Nothing beats just doing the work, and we often distract ourselves from working by tinkering around trying to figure out how to work best. There’s a time for that, but most days we just need to do the dang work.
