👋 Hello!
This is issue #42 of Taskflow Tuesday, where I share 3 things that can help you get digitally organized so that you can spend more time on what truly matters.
🥂 1. Thoughts On The New Year
I don’t want to add to all of the noise surrounding the “new year, new me” parade that happens annually, but I do have a thought that might be helpful.
Plan for the year, but take your time.
Who said we have to figure out our plan for 2025 in one week? We put pressure on ourselves to make goals, plan trips, and get ahead of the rush - way too quickly.
You don’t have to take every “Plan Your Year” workshop, or go through every piece of content telling you the best way to make your year count.
Make a plan that works for you, stick to it, adjust when you need to.
If you don’t have a plan until late January or February, that’s totally fine.
Better late than never.
📝 2. Mini Goal Setting Workshop
If you haven’t been getting those workshop ads like me, then here’s one so you have something to work off of.
👨🏼🏫 My mini workshop:
Write down your goals for the year under life categories.
You can choose your own, but here are mine:
Health, Personal Development, Finances, Work, Relationships, Quality of Life, Spiritual Life.
Write down a simple quarterly plan to support your goals.
What will Q1 (Jan-March) look like for you to hit your goals?
Make a rough plan for Q2, 3, and 4 — finalize your plan before each quarter.
Tag each part of the plan with the corresponding icon.
⭐️ = high priority
🔁 = ongoing
📆 = scheduled
📒 = planned
🤔 = planning
🆘 = needs attention
Here’s an example of my Q1 Plan for personal development:
Personal Development🔁 Read 5 books.
📆 Journal once a week.
🤔 Learn to cook 3 new recipes.
📒 Optimize Notion system for tracking goals.
Execute and review weekly.
🎛️ 3. Systems > Goals
I love goals, but I love systems even more.
If the system is working then I will end up hitting my goals.
If you want all of my systems for tracking tasks, managing your time, building a knowledge base, and the framework for creating your own productivity system, check out my course:
If you’re interested but want to dip your toes in first, reply to this email asking for the Productivity System Audit and I’ll send you the link.
