👋 Hello!
This is issue #24 of Taskflow Tuesday, where I share 3 things that can help you to get digitally organized so that you can spend more time on what truly matters.
✍️ Currently
Last year I sent out 23 emails which means I have given y’all about 70 tips and tricks to become more organized and productive! Hopefully a couple of those have become a regular part of your digital life.
One of my 2024 goals for Taskflow is to substantially grow this newsletter and I’m hoping you can help me out with that.
If you could reply to this email with one of your favorite takeaways from one of my emails, as well as a short testimonial about why you love receiving these in your inbox, I would greatly appreciate it!
🎯 Setting SMART Goals for a Productive New Year
As we plan out our new year, it's an opportune time to reflect on our aspirations and set clear goals for the months ahead. To ensure that our objectives are not just wishful thinking, but actionable and achievable, consider the SMART criteria: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
Quarterly Objectives:
Start by outlining your overarching goals for each quarter. These should be the larger milestones you aim to achieve throughout the year. Perhaps it's launching a new project, hitting a revenue target, or mastering a new skill. Identify the key actions and outcomes you want to see by the end of each quarter.
Monthly Milestones:
Break down your quarterly goals into more manageable monthly milestones. What needs to be accomplished each month to stay on track? These could include specific projects, reaching a percentage of your quarterly target, or completing a phase of your larger objectives.
Weekly Targets:
With monthly milestones in mind, translate them into weekly targets. What tasks need to be accomplished each week to make progress towards your monthly goals? These could involve project tasks, client meetings, or learning sessions. Be specific about what needs to happen to move the needle forward.
Daily Actions:
The key to achieving your larger goals lies in your daily actions. Break down your weekly targets into actionable tasks for each day. These tasks should be small, manageable steps that contribute to the larger picture. This could involve making a certain number of sales calls, dedicating time to skill-building, or completing a portion of a project.
By systematically breaking down your yearly goals into quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily tasks, you create a roadmap that makes your ambitions tangible and achievable. Regularly review your progress, celebrate small wins, and adjust your plan as needed. Remember, the journey to success is often made up of consistent, intentional steps taken each day.
Here's to a year filled with purposeful achievements and continuous growth!
🚀 Let's make it happen!
That’s all for now! Have a great day. 👊🏼
David

I love the handy dandy tricks you teach us. So helpful! I love your content. But I love you more. :)
Congrats on 23 emails last year dude!
To answer your question, I loved the June 13, 2023 edition where you switched from 1 Tip, 1 Tool, 1 Tweet to just writing about the productivity things you find valuable in a given week—I especially liked the productivity quotes in that one and the work blocks section. Quotes like those inspire me and remind me of the "why" behind productivity hacks, and I love practical tips that I can apply without downloading anything or adding things to my schedule.
