👋 Hello!
If you are reading this, then I am incredibly grateful. Welcome to my corner of the internet where I help people get digitally organized and systemized so that they can spend more time on what matters most and less time figuring out how to juggle a million things at once.
✍️ Currently
I just got back from a 3 day trip to Greenville, SC where my wife and I planned and prepared for the new year. We divided the trip between resting and resetting. Rest time included Catan, Pickle-ball, Italian food, and watching Notting Hill. Resetting time included long intentional conversations about our goals and ideas for home life, finances, friendships, jobs, projects, and scheduling out our year. We feel excited and ready for 2023.
I’m currently working on a course to take people through, where we will go through ever area of your digital life and set you up with systems and practices that will transform your work life.
✅ Tip: Quick Capture
What was that idea you had last year, or even last week, or even in the last hour? So many of your ideas will pop into your mind and then disappear forever, never to return.
“Your mind is for having ideas, not holding them.” – David Allen
This quote has changed my life.
Quick capture is stupidly simple.
Have an idea? Write it down.
Remember something you need to do? Write it down.
The key is to develop the habit of recording the ideas, tasks, and notes as soon as they come to mind, rather than waiting to organize them later. This can be done in a notebook, a note taking app, or a software specifically designed for quick capture.
I use Apple’s Notes app and Reminders app.
The goal is to quickly jot down ideas without getting bogged down with organizing them, so that they can be revisited and organized later.
📱 Tool: minical
I started using this calendar app last week and I love it. minical is a wonderful add on to have with my Google Calendar.
Using the widgets, I can quickly view the date, my schedule for the day, and my full month calendar all in one glance.
I am also finding it a lot easier to input new events into the calendar compared to Google Calendar’s mobile app.
