👋 Hello!
This is issue #33 of Taskflow Tuesday, where I share 3 things that can help you to get digitally organized so that you can spend more time on what truly matters.
⚡️ Taskflow Toolbox (Free Resource)
I created a powerful resource that stores my best productivity hacks into a searchable format.
Whether you need to streamline your phone use, declutter your email inbox, or improve your focus, the Taskflow Toolbox has you covered.
The best part is it’s updated weekly, so you always have the latest and greatest.
Enjoy! 😄
👤 1. Relevant Contact Info
Have you ever found a contact in your phone that is just named “James”.
No last name, no emoji, nothing.
And then there’s 3 other James’ in your contacts.
Who is James? No clue. Forgettable James. Sorry James.
Anyway, I don’t want to fail my future self with limited info.
When I meet new people and add them to my contacts in my phone, I just use the “Company” section as the perfect place to put the context of how I know them.
Sometimes I do put their company name but often it looks more like, “Joe’s Uncle” or “Old Starbucks Coworker”.
Also, I’ll update or remove it if I become closer to the person and don’t need that info to remember who they are. 😆
⭐️ Pro Tip: Use the Notes section of the contact card to write down those random things they mention that they like so that you can get them super thoughtful gifts.
🔪 2. Less Is More
When aiming to become more productive, think subtraction - not addition.
In our quest for productivity, we often seek new tools or techniques, believing more resources will yield better results.
This can actually complicate our lives. Instead, consider subtraction.
What can you remove to simplify your life and work processes?
Focus on eliminating the non-essential to streamline your workflow. Declutter your workspace, cut out redundant tasks, and cancel unnecessary meetings. Eliminate distractions to concentrate on what truly matters.
Instead of adopting new productivity apps, quit multitasking. Complete one task at a time. Unsubscribe from unnecessary emails and delete unused apps.
Thinking in terms of subtraction eliminates the superfluous, making room for efficiency and clarity. Sometimes, productivity isn't about doing more but doing less, better.
🖊️ 3. My Favorite Pen
My favorite pen is the MUJI Gel Ink Ball Point Pen 0.5mm in black.
It writes so well and I like it’s minimal design.
