👋 Hello!
This is issue #15 of Taskflow Tuesday, where I share 3 things that can help you to get digitally organized so that you can spend more time on what truly matters.
✅ Tip: Email Account Only For Newsletters
I just created my fifth Gmail account.
You would think juggling five emails would be stressful, but I added the latest account to help me out with that. Also, the “spaces” feature from The Arc Browser helps me out with managing my email accounts.
Anyway, I have created a dedicated email account exclusively for subscribing to newsletters.
By designating a separate email address, I’ll keep my primary inbox clean and focused, ensuring that important emails don't get lost in the shuffle. Plus, this approach promotes a streamlined reading experience, allowing me to access all my newsletters in one place.
I got this idea from my brother who forwarded me an email from an unfamiliar address. I asked him what it was and he said it’s only for newsletters. Then he suggested that I include this as a tip in my next Taskflow Tuesday.
So here’s what I did:
Created a new email account
Sorted through my main account and unsubscribed from all newletters
Re-subscribed to the newsletters using my new email address
I found that I only wanted to re-subscribe to only 20% of the newsletters that I had in my main account.
Now I have a two clean and focused email accounts, each serving a specific purpose, rather than attempting to accomplish multiple things within a single account.
📱 Tool: Amazon Kindle
I don’t own one yet, but I can definitely reccomend the Amazon Kindle. It is a valuable tool for productivity and minimalism offering a portable library.
It’s one of the few screens today that doesn’t disctract you with attention draining algorithms and endless notifications. The organization features make it easy to manage and access a large collection of digital books.
By embracing digital reading, the Kindle contributes to a minimalist approach by reducing physical clutter and embracing a more streamlined lifestyle.
Its accessibility and customization options further enhance the reading experience, making it a practical choice for those seeking productivity and minimalism in their lives.
It’s high on my wish list right now and when I get one I’ll update you with how I’m finding it personally. I’m sure I’m not too far off in my current assessment though.
